Sacramento opened the middle of downtown to vehicle traffic tonight for the first time in over 40 years. These shots of K Street were taken while filming an ongoing documentary about the revitalization of Sacramento.
Video clips will be posted soon, but in the mean time pass on thru K Street and take a mental picture of how it looks and feels. We’ll check back with you every few months to see how that picture lines up against what it was and what we hope it will be.

As one of the first motorcycles to legally ride down K Street tonight, I have to warn that the Light Rail tracks get a little tricky between 9th and 10th. Be prepared for some weaving.
