Kinetic Illusions is filming an ongoing documentary on the impact of Sacramento’s revitalization efforts on K Street in downtown Sacramento from 2010-2013.

The goal is to review the successes and failures from the point of view of local businesses and residents, how these affect the surrounding regions and how these results compare to similar efforts across the nation during this time of global socioeconomic soul searching.

Director Karl Alexander was at ground zero during the Northwest’s shift into the global spotlight of the tech and music scene. He was at the front lines documenting the protests, conflicts and stories behind the moment that local fisherman won a 60 year fight against the federal government occupation in the Caribbean resulting in the evacuation of the entire Atlantic Fleet of the US Navy.

Karl recognizes that some of the necessary ingredients for change, the ideas, the people, the economic environment, are aligning again in Sacramento and Team Kinetic has their lenses focused on the new epicenter for change, K Street.
