Sara works at the
American River Ranch in Rancho Cordova, CA. The Ranch and its Community
Farm Stand are a part of the Soil Born Farms urban farming project.
Sara
explains
how she came to work at the farm and the reasons behind her
current focus on youth education. She walks us through a typical farm
day and shares the story of the first time she ever made chicken
soup... from scratch.
The Farm has plenty of volunteer opportunities for Sacramentans who'd like to be a part of this remarkable urban farming project.
