Tony Bennett got to shoot this beautiful new Bell 429 for Air Care 1 out of the San Juan Regional Medical Center. This helicopter replaces the Bell 222 we filmed earlier last year and comes with a seriously cool glass instrument panel along with an engine whine that makes your spine shiver.
Kinetic will go into pre-production soon for an industry-wide informational and training video that will cover operation of the 429 in all types of terrain and weather. Be on the lookout for new aerial filming techniques and chase scenes from the Sheriff’s copter!
Tony Bennett is a pilot himself so he understands and can predict flight patterns and vehicle behavior to line up fantastic shots, air-to-air or perched on top of a hoodoo.
Previously we produced a training video for the hospital the now-retired AirWolf version of the rescue helicopter. For that video, we made a surprise crash landing in the desert to test the crew’s emergency reactions and knowledge of protocol. The video is currently used as a training tool for all air transport emergency personnel.
